Katie's life is turned upside down when she gets struck by lightning out of clear sky, and receives the power to create orbs made of pure energy, which she can use to manipulate objects and people. However, her world gets turned upside down when she comes home one day to find her parents dead. Two dangerous organizations jockey for her recruitment, and she begins the journey to find out who her parents really were, who she really is, and why she is more powerful than anyone else who has been struck by the clear sky lightning.
