Martin, a young boy of moderate means but filled with dreams for his future, is thrust suddenly at sixteen into roles inconceivable for a boy of his age, of husband, father, and wage earner. He is unhappy with his role but delighted with his wife and baby. He is perfect fodder for unscrupulous and devious persons, promising more lucrative employment and becoming a "suit" in the business world. His entry into this world and the convoluted life that follows gives us pause and reason to ponder the choices we make in life.
