Remembering My George W. Gayle Maurer
Remembering My George W.
Gayle Maurer
There was a time a while ago when my Colorado friend Pete and I were discussing some of the quaint expressions I learned as a kid from my lumberjack Grampa George Farrough (seen on the cover, chowing down at one of those many roadside tables on Michigan's old US-27. Talk about "Throwback"). As a former lumberjack himself, Pete suggested that I "should write a book" about Grampa, being the character that he was. I resisted that urge initially; I wasn't interested in doing what could possibly become an autobiography. I'm not that vain, AND, I'm not finished writing my last Detective Len Morgan novel yet. Well ... I surrendered. Here it is. Enjoy. John Wright
