Kapota the Merman and the Story of Satya Whitney Reynolds

Under the five Yamas of Ashtanga Yoga, Satya is the Sanskrit word that stands for Truth. In this story, Kapota the Merman is a confident young yogi who takes his first yoga class. He becomes jealous and frustrated when he struggles with the poses. He finds his Satya or his Truth when he explore mermaid pose. He learns to be honest with himself and find peace in the other postures even if it takes failure at first to find it. The entire story can be acted out in a yoga class for children making it a perfect gift for children, parents, or teachers of children's yoga.
