"Living at the lake" is a boast in the minds of the populace surrounding the extravagant waterfront properties, a veritable blessing. Recently though, two different high schoolers have found themselves living at that very place, for much different reasons.

Eric, a brooding, self-proclaimed "robot" disdains his new home, and wishes for something more out of life than the tedium of his senior year high school schedule. On the other side of the lake, Kaine and his family have moved from a town hours away into a new house only a few weeks before the start of the second semester, under mysterious circumstances. Kaine himself is happy for the change, it gives him a chance to escape the phantoms of his past and begin anew. However, when the two meet, fate and destiny seem to intertwine, and neither of them expect their lives to be utterly changed by one fortuitous meeting.

Their friendship becomes a strong one, but it is held together by fragile strings. Buried secrets and emotions have a way of surfacing at the worst of times, and the backlash will strain both the boys and those around them to the breaking point. And it is at that breaking point where the concrete and mythical begin to align . . ....
