Sins of the mothers, Book 2, Legacy continues the stories of Henrietta, Joseph and Seth. The turbulence of their personal lives is a reflection of events in Europe between 1912 and the 1930s. A visit to London in 1919 brings reality sharply to Henrietta's attention when she sees disabled ex-servicemen begging on the streets and she feels compelled to put her own troubles aside and help as best she can. Loss and recovery affect them all deeply in many unexpected ways. The troubling specter of Bounders which caused Henrietta so much trouble in Book 1, rises again and results in the breakdown of her marriage.
