Five kids around the country, who all have an interest in the ancient language of the Runes, think they are only preparing for college. What they realize as it gets closer to orientation is that they are actually selected for an elite fighting force that has to defend their own lives and keep the enemy from killing others in the process. How can they handle being thrown together to gel as a team and defeat an enemy of unknown skill. This is just the start for these diverse individuals in a series of tales that will have them forever fighting to keep alive.
