Most of my life has been spent in worship ministry. Leading others into the presence of our Lord is not something I take lightly. I became aware of the need to expand my vocabulary of worship in order to more clearly communicate my heart to God and to more effectively help others connect with their Creator. The list of names used in this book is the result of that search for an expanded vocabulary for worship. I asked the worship team members to come up with names by which they communicate with God, or have heard used as references to Him. Since starting this project I have found more names that are not part of this list. I decided to omit them at this time, but perhaps it will become a Volume II project. In the meantime, I hope this resource helps you commune with the Lord in ways you never imagined. As you learn more of God's nature and character you will find it easier to open yourself up to Him and express your heart with words that express more fully your love and desire for Him. There are not enough entries in this volume to use it as a daily devotional. However, there are plenty to keep you occupied for several years as you plumb the depths of these names even more fully than I have in these pages. Just as the gospel writer declared of Jesus, there is no way to ever print enough volumes to fully describe our God. That should not keep us from trying!
