Lauryn Lavell is a young woman who is ready to step into adulthood. She wants her family and friends to take her seriously and she is ready for a committed relationship. Her best friend Gwen takes her with her to meet her new stepmother and stepbrother- Dakota. Soon Lauryn finds herself falling for him. Lauryn and Dakota are together for about a year when she decides to move in with him. She quickly becomes distraught when Dakota reveals that he is not the man he presented himself to be.
