Save Our Souls: Volume Four. Cherie: ".... I woz taught in a convent you know..... I hated ezry minute of eet.... Zere woz zis muzzer zuperior who use to heet uz girlz wiz a tea towel if we spent too much time in the showerz.... She woz a beetch...!" Keith Matthews was a vastly talented actor, musician, theatre director, performed playwright and charity bookshop manager. He performed in many plays and his artistic career lasted over forty five years. As well as being an expert on the UK radio game show Just a Minute (on which he contributed to two published books) he also found time to write a large number of plays, sitcom episodes, poems, short stories and novel length works. 'Save Our Souls' (or SOS) is the first of a collection of sit-com screenplays set in a charity shop that show his talent, his outrageous sense of humour, and his ability to create huge yet deep characters. ".... He picks you up when you are down and makes you think throughout...." In this edition of Save Our Souls: Volume Four, we have the last three episodes of what is the second series. In total there will be three series of six episodes, plus special episodes. Included in this edition are the episodes: 'A Carry on up the Alps', 'While the Hens Are Away...' & 'Anyone Fancy Pumping My Organ?' Once again we follow Volunteer charity shop workers Norma, Cherie, Rapido, Francesco, Garry, Edgar and Nathaniel (and a host of other new characters) battle to find a way to keep the shop running and the charity donations coming in; as we see the lead up to the series finale: Francesco's wedding.
