Lizzy Albanesi is struggling to make ends meet. She works construction during the day and trains as an MMA fighter in the evenings. When a friend from work goes missing, she decides to find him. As the case unfolds, Lizzy sinks into the Detroit criminal underworld with a hired killer on her tail. When she is implicated in a man's death and faces many years in prison, she has to solve the case and bring the guilty parties forward. Set in Detroit, New Beginnings is a novel in which Lizzy Albanesi moves about the city to solve her case and keep herself alive.
