Inspired by the 2013 flash flood down Colorado's Big Thompson Canyon, The Dying Season adds a twist. Electric and phone lines are cut. Cell towers crash to earth. Bridges and roads crumble. Businesses and homes vanish downstream. The village goes dark--no electricity, no means of communication, no way to leave--throwing life back into the 19th century. The flood prevents a sadistic murder's escape and traps him with the residents of this small mountain village. When they discover Brook Stone's mutilated body, the panicky survivors arm themselves. The killer lurks around the village, and death soon visits North Fork Glen again.
