For five boys and a youth leader on a simple canoe trip down the Saint Croix River they got more than they bargained for. At Goose Creek a mysterious Mr. Nolon first tells them stories of historical characters he knew ever since he hunted and trapped along the Sunrise River in 1803. His stories seem too good to be true yet the next day his accounts were becoming believable. Their time in the Sunrise Cemetery and the local museum proved his tales were not just ghost stories. His characters were real and had a secret to tell. In the present day ghost town of Sunrise, Minnesota someone was leaving clues but for what purpose? Now it's time for Mr. Winkle to put together all the pieces of the puzzle and salve the mystery.
