It is 1963 and the Key West police chief is baffled by a series of burglaries that have targeted the elderly. As the elusive burglar becomes more brazen, the two detectives assigned to the case are at odds in their investigation. One is determined to solve the mystery regardless of where the clues lead, but the other one has a hidden agenda that stifles their progress. When a beautiful Cuban artist and a struggling writer are unwillingly drawn in, they must face the dangerous matters before them. Ultimately, it is a gambling debt that drives the action to a violent end, and all bets are off as to who will survive the truth behind the secrets and lies.
