Siren Sounds is the first mystery within a tetralogy of novels dealing with a rash of murders happening in Albany, New York; yet it will take a former "Oxbridge" don (now a recluse in South Yorkshire, England) to explore and reveal all of those horrors. All starts with the horrific death of prominent State Supreme Court Judge Harry Lily inside a strip-joint; and the alleged perp is Frank White, a once stellar criminal defense lawyer. And even though he hasn't ever lost a criminal case, White himself expects that he could well now lose this one, his own!
