The Conference is designed to highlight books written by Black authors reflecting Black spiritual and intellectual traditions that will empower Black communities. The Conference showcases writers who skillfully illustrate the complexity and depth of the Black experience. Above all, the Sofik Åabut Black Writers Conference promotes the Black literary tradition featuring authors whose Ausarian consciousness and Diasporic experiences reflect the diversity of Black history and encompass their journeys on earth and beyond.
