The Sight Reading Drill Book Series is a step-by-step method for learning the tactile skills necessary for good sight reading at the piano. With regular practice, the drills will help students of all ages and abilities coordinate the visual patterns in the score with the muscle memory in the fingers. Once these patterns are familiar and automatic, reading new music will become easier and more enjoyable.

There are three levels in the series:

The Preparatory Level features melodic intervals, harmonic intervals, and triads/chords. Exercises are played on the white keys only, without clefs to encourage freedom across the keyboard. This book can be used for beginners to advanced players.

Level 1 contains drills in major and minor keys with zero to three sharps and flats. 1A introduces intervals of a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th; 1B introduces intervals of a 6th, 7th, and 8ve. These books are appropriate for beginner to late intermediate players.

Level 2 contains drills in major and minor keys with four to seven sharps and flats. 2A introduces intervals of a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th; 2B introduces intervals of a 6th, 7th, and 8ve. These books are suggested for intermediate to advanced players.
