Adrienne is the love interest in the Taxi Romance titled The Book of Job Revisted. Part I - The Maquisard - begins with the 1933 miners' strike in Asturias Spain ending in the Basque Community of Boise Idaho. It is these tangled family connections in the past that return to the far away coast of Southern California in Part II - The Tyranny of Chaos- to reveal themselves through criminal intrigue and betrayal via Adrienne's complicity. Max McGee tries to help her but, stranded and kidnapped, it is her husband that draws from an inner resource to redeem himself and rescue her.
