The Gospel of John: Text and Topics is a Biblical workbook with commentary that combines textual and topical lessons to help the student understand both the words and the larger themes of the gospel. The textual lessons have symbols in the margin that point out the themes that have their own topical lessons. The questions at the end of the lessons include two research questions that require the student to dig deeper into the text of the Bible. The workbook is written with only the Bible text in view; the author has tried to avoid any teaching or viewpoint that does not come from the Bible itself. Occasionally, common teachings that do not harmonize with the Bible will be discussed. The workbook is also available in a color version.
