Alison Barbaron's Picture Book with Poems is unique in that it combines unusual artwork and poetry. The artwork is a collaboration between two Southeast Missouri artists, Aaron Horrell and Barb Bailey. They create novel, miniature paintings by taking turns adding their own personal input to each mini. The outcomes are unanticipated and whimsical. The pictures will invite children to look for more than the obvious. The poetry is intended to be lighthearted and fun to read. Look for their trademark heart in each painting. Some are easy to see and some are not.
