Carl thought he'd found it all in the bold and seductive Yolanda. The statuesque former model and current lingerie tycoon bulldozed his heart-and commandeered half of his Los Angeles homestead to add a creative studio. But Carl is too infatuated to care. He doesn't listen to his protesting parents or his best friend, Barbarian. All he cares about is Yolanda.



Then Yolanda meets Peter. In a wink, Carl's out-and Peter's in. When Yolanda demands a divorce, Carl realizes he should never have married a businesswoman. She gets 50 percent of everything.



Downtrodden and despondent, Carl is about to give up on love when he meets Leslie, a quirky teacher and therapist. And so-Yolanda's out. Leslie's in.



But even though Yolanda's out of Carl's heart, she isn't out of his life. Their divorce settlement entitles her to half of the house, and Yolanda and Peter make themselves right at home. Carl and Leslie, meanwhile, try to make a home out of the other half-but are constantly stymied by Yolanda and Peter's devious machinations. In this darkly humorous tale, war breaks out in the Los Angeles hills as the four head for a bitter showdown.
