I saw the beautiful James Dean, fell in love and my first thought was I want the whole world to see and know how magnificent he was in all respects. I took great pleasure in writing this picture book, in telling people my story ..... It summarizes the last 18 months of my life, my journey of being in love with the late great James Dean ...... How I first saw him, how I fell in love, how it changed my life forever, how "being in love with James Dean" brought me countless moments of joy and pleasure, how I so wanted a bond with someone who would truly understand me and not judge me for "being in love with the LATE James Dean", someone who would admire the man as deeply as I did, how I found a way of channeling my emotions into something even more wonderful.
