The Siege of Abigail Beson tells the story of an isolated family beset by unknown assailants. The family is forced to fight or flee, all the while trying to uncover the reason behind the attack... On a sweltering summer night I woke up at two in the morning with this story on my mind. Enthralled, I hastily made note of its premise before falling back to sleep. Nearly three years later, I've finally finished the story. While the bones remain unchanged since that summer night, the depth and breadth of the characters has grown dramatically. The Siege of Abigail Beson is set in the summer of 1865, shortly after the conclusion of the American Civil War. Abigail Beson's older brothers have yet to return home from war. When armed men set upon her house in search of gold, it's up to Abby and her family to fight back.
