It was a rare day off for Scott Russell Hill. He got out of bed, showered, and made his first coffee for the day. A half hour later he was in an ambulance and on his way to Emergency as his life and health began to spiral downwards. In the days and months that followed, Scott faced his own mortality and constant uncertainty. Throughout it all he fought to reclaim his life, and it would lead him to feel one emotion above all others. GRATEFUL.
