Would-Be People
MR Keith Argyle
Brain was on his way to a computer conference and hoped to be there on time as he was running late. He took what he hoped would be a short-cut, but soon discovered he'd made a big mistake. He drove down a lonely road that led into an old morbid town where there was no one around. He suddenly saw a strange figure dressed in a monk's habit. He stopped and went to him, but when the figure turned round he discovered that this figure was not human. Suddenly he finds himself transported to a time where Earth's history hadn't begun and discovered that he was amongst a captured people. The old wise one of these people told him he was awaited for and discovered that he had to go on a long dangerous journey to a sacred mountain where he would be given powers to help destroy these aliens who had captured these poor people. On returning from the journey, a great battle ensues and eventually the battle is won and the people are once again free. However, Brian has a surprise he is not expecting. This story will keep you spellbound.
