Medicinal Wordplay is a book of poetry from all aspects of life. Written for teens and adults the poems reflect so many every day issues and concerns of all people. Franchesca aims to reach every reader in that she wants them to feel comfortable with knowing that this is a book that speaks about them. The front cover of the book is a fully sprouted California Poppy painted by Ravon Holmes. The reasoning behind the cover is to have every reader experience growth by the end of the book. The title 'Medicinal Wordplay' came from Franchesca's sole purpose for writing poetry to begin with and that is to have readers walk away feeling healed. To know that there is someone just like you is relief in itself. In so many of her poems the reader can relate to the stories being told. Some of the poems are personal and some are just written about the lives of others. Imagination sets in on the some the content. Some of the poems were written straight from the imagination of Franchesca. As she writes most times she thinks, "Let me put myself in his or her shoes."
