Once upon the beginning of time (though this is a true story), there was a Carpenter. A Master Carpenter. A Carpenter unlike any other. He decided on His plans and set to work. He spent generations ... then centuries ... then millennia intricately and painstakingly (often agonizingly) fashioning His masterpiece. When it was ready, He proudly displayed ... a cradle?!!! What's more, it looked like a roughly-hewn cattle-feed trough! But He is a Carpenter unlike any other. He doesn't do things the way we would expect... This study steps back to take a look at the Big Picture of God's Story of the House He's been building since the beginning of time. It's an old, familiar Story. For some, it may be too familiar. They may have lost the thread of the plot line in the details they've heard dozens of times. For some, it may not be familiar at all. They may know only bits and pieces and have never seen the Story put together. For either those to whom the Story is too familiar or those to whom the Story isn't familiar enough, this study may give an entirely new view of God's Story we call the Bible. THE CARPENTER AND THE CRADLE is a Bible Study for groups or individuals. There are six weeks of individual, daily lessons with a group lesson Overview and discussion questions.
