The Surgeon had gathered my family together as I lay in the Hospital bed in the Intensive Care Unit. He explained to me, my wife, my daughter, and my Pastor that he didn't know anything else to do to stop the flesh eating infection that was spreading through my body. The Surgeon also explained that when the infection moved into my stomach then I would die. The Surgeon didn't know that the evening I would Have a Visit with Jesus. It was not the first time that I had been facing death. The doctors told me I was the first survivor of Actinomyces israelii in 1985. My right coronary artery closed in 2003. I had cancer in 2007. A flesh eating virus in 2012. All of this but I am still alive. It is also a story of twenty years of military service. A story of me running away from and running to God. A story of God's Unlimited Grace. A story of how God brought me to Him.
