In aid of rape victims this book is a collection of stories by women and for women. The only thing the stories have in common is that they are all true. They vary from travel or parenting stories, to a traumatic story of rape, of illness, major trauma with children, and adventure. After centuries of being considered weak, and even unworthy, women now feel free to show their muscle. And how strong we are! We are the women of today. We are nothing like the women of our grandmother's worlds, nor like women for many centuries before. The lives we lead and the way we cope is a whole different ball game. Our horizons are far broader and, whether we are living through bad times or happy times, we share our stories with each other. And, as we read, let us remember all those women who still live under archaic and unfair rules, under oppression or with ignorant husbands and fathers. It is the duty of all of us who are free write our stories to reach out to those who may ... eventually .... one day ... bring about change. This book has no political message. It is just what it says it is: a collection of true stories from the women of today.
