Chibok is a Local Government Area in the southern part of Borno state, which is located in the Northeastern part of Nigeria, with about 100,000 people. Chibok came to prominence when 276 girls scheduled to write their final paper in the West African Examination Council' Senior Secondary Certificate Examination were abducted by the dreaded Boko Haram militants in April of 2014. Few of these girls had escape from their captors and the latest of such escapees is Amina Ali who escaped from the Sabisa forest in May 2016. She was able to escape along with her new born child with its terrorist father. However this girl could not communicate a single word in English, the language of instruction in school in Nigeria. This brought to the fore the standard and quality of education many people, not just in Chibok, but also in other remote places, are subjected to because they are far from governance and as such, qualitative education. This book will give you an inkling to what an average rural child goes through education wise.
