Cuban-American business woman and sometimes artist, Mercedes Candido-Banner runs the Cuban Coffee Cleaning Company. Her husband, Roberto, is the maintenance manager at Condo Rondeau where they also live. Between them they know all the dirt - literally and figuratively - about the residents. The mysterious disappearance of a resident, and an historical connection to an Ybor City cigar factory Lector, reveal that their condo life can be small-towny familiar and also cosmopolitan and eclectic. Still in all, it's a life in paradise... though not all "fun and board games."
