Kairie stone was sixteen years old when Lando Rud becomes President of the United States of America, and if not for her youth she might have seen the changes as the danger they presented. But when her best friend, a transgender girl, commits suicide and other are forced out of their jobs and homes, she realized how badly the world is changing. Yet she fears to do something about it, and retreats instead. Until the day one of her oldest friends gets beat up right in front of her and nobody even tries to stop it. In one short heartbeat of time, Kairie let's go of her fear and a spark ignites, a spark that one day will drive her to changes she couldn't imagine at that point of time. She steps in and tries to stop the senseless beating, only to gain the notice of a man who will become her greatest enemy and love. Then on July 14 / 2020 the world suddenly changes. Lando Rud who was losing the re-elections takes the country in one sudden and violent move. Separating those he considered lower humans from those he thought of as worthy higher humans. In one night Kairie loses everything, her parents, friends, way of life and even her name. Ripped from everything she knew and loved, Kairie finds herself forced to start a new life in a camp for lower humans, as the lowest of all, a Zero. But soon things change and she finds herself in a net of intrigue, manipulation, and rebellion. With only one goal, to take down Lando Rud and restore the freedom to be who you are.
