One child's quest to identify with who she really is, ends up jeopardizing the lives of all those that depend on her. There is always more than one side to every story. In time, we find how important understanding that really is. The idea of mental illness in the African American family is often not talked about or even considered taboo. That myth is one that desperately needs to be broken.
