My Thoughts on Social Issues
Saika Annedannie Brice
This book is a collection of essays on varying topics, ranging from John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men and his portrayal of the Great Depression, the impacts of childhood obesity, the need for confidence in black girls, how Haiti can turn its economic situation around, gun control, and the impacts of terrorist groups on children. These are My Thoughts on Social Issues and I will continue to shape them in the years to come because I believe children today are tomorrow's adults, and having a say in what is happening now will empower them to continue in the right path, while avoiding making the same mistakes. Each topic comes with citations to give the reader a variety of resources to explore. This book is mostly a compilation of all the essays that I have done in school, at Global High, Waxahachie, Texas. Sometimes, our best works are the ones we have done early in life. My Thoughts on Social Issues is also an invitation to motivate teens to express themselves on different social topics of their interests.
