This is a book about taking control of your life and becoming the person you are meant to be. It is about following your true path and the good that the change brings to your life. Primrose is currently an Ophthalmic nurse at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, having made the career change in 2008. She knows it was the right choice for her as she still has the passion she felt when she began this career path. Whilst she finds her work fulfilling, Primrose believes she has a greater path to follow. She believes that smart information technology will be the norm for eye care in the future and her dream is to establish Eye Hospitals in African countries where eye care is sorely needed. She believes that through this book she can reach out to people to help her make this dream become a reality and that together we can build more Eye Hospitals in Africa such at the Ghana Project and bring eye care and sight back to millions of people who have avoidable blindness. The Eye Opener Initiative started by Primrose has the potential to be the gateway for eye care into Uganda and from there, other countries that need it. She believes that if you have a dream, the person to start the ball rolling is yourself and the time is now. This is how this book came into being, through one woman wanting to use her experience and her past to make a difference in the world. The Eye Opener will open your eyes to the power you hold within yourself. Believing is seeing and through Primrose's story you will find the keys to unlocking your own future potential.
