This book is a travel/adventure/gangster/love story which is set in the Highlands of Scotland and the back streets of Merseyside. The story starts in the Highlands of Scotland in an abandoned, old, Scottish Mansion which has been inherited by the central character Danny Delaney. It follows the restoration of this old building with a sub plot of a love affair between Danny and Vicky, a good time girl from the backstreets of Birkenhead.
