Between 2005 and 2016, Mike Ringler recorded a total of ten albums, eight of which featured all original compositions by him, two of which featured his "covers" of some of his favorite classic rock songs, including one album of Beatles tunes, and one single release. Some of the highlights of Ringler's recorded output: A song written at the request of a NYC author to be used as the title track for a CD accompanying a book about John Lennon. The song was previewed and approved by Sid Bernstein, the promoter who brought The Beatles to Carnegie Hall in 1964. Upon hearing a copy of a song Ringler had written specifically in honor of him, Jon Anderson, the co-founder and original lead singer for the band YES, responded by sending a wonderful email to Ringler thanking him "for the lovely song." Two songs were included on charity CD releases by two major British charity organizations. Since 2006, more than 20 of Ringler's songs have received limited airplay on a number of internet and community radio stations in countries around the world. As a lifelong and passionate music fan, a multi-instrument musician, and an English teacher, department chair, and college instructor for nearly 33 years, Ringler has always combined all of those vocations in the writing of his songs. They are personal, passionate, thought-provoking, and of course, fun ! He hopes that you enjoy reading the lyrics he has presented in this volume.
