Brothers Iago and Ferdinando compete for the love of

Brothers, Iago, the Sword, and Ferdinando, the Rose, return from a sea voyage. On their arrival home, Ferdinando proposes marriage to Margherita, who refuses in the hope Iago makes a similar offer.
