Cats, cowboys, clocks and chickens along with caskets, caves, and Chevies are some of the many subjects included in this volume of story and verse. Do cats really dance? Cowboys talk to their campfires? Clocks have feelings? Chickens make good pets? Indeed they do, at least in the memories and imaginations of these creative seniors from the Jonesborough area. Some have been writing most of their lives, some are new to the craft, what they share is a common desire to help one another and improve their writing skills. Now, with this first volume of Stories and Poems, we are reaching out and sharing our work with the community. Some pieces may make you laugh, some may make you cry. We hope some will touch you in a way that inspires you to leave your comfort zone and start writing. All profits from the sale of this book will be used to support Jonesborough Senior Center programs.
