It discusses shortcomings of democracy, as well as various factors that can cause democratic societies to deteriorate and eventually collapse, including socialism, corruptions, populism, political polarization, erroneous ideologies and government policies, teachers unions, government debt, etc. It further points out how the financial crises that began in Western democratic countries in 2008 have now morphed into political crises, with consequences such as Britain's exit from European Union, the Bernie Sanders phenomena, the bitter and polarizing US presidential election in 2016, and much more to come in the coming years and decades.
