Ironass MacAsero was real, a character known far and wide a very unusual, one-of-a-kind character to be feared and respected. In the petroleum drilling business he was a legendary roughneck, tool-pusher and eventually successful drilling contractor known far and wide throughout the oil fields from East Texas to Iran to Saudi Arabia to South America. He was so ornery that everyone, those that reported to him and those he reported to, was afraid of him. George Myers has valiantly charged forth to gather the most interesting parts of this oilfield legend's life into a readable collection called simply, Ironass.
