Furthermore, it encourages believers to rise above pain and distress and thereby surrender to God, for the manifestation of God's purposes in diverse kinds of trials and adversities. Also, it encourages believers to avoid lifestyles that could sear their hearts and hinder intimacy with God. Lastly, it provides principles for overcoming temptations.
