Angel was a good kid from a small town who had an unfortunate past. But, decisions he made as a teenager led him to prison before his 18th birthday. After a couple of years inside, he found a way to serve his time without any problems and lead a decent life that would surely find him outside of the gates earlier than his full sentence. But, a letter from a high school sweetheart throws a wrench in his plans. As Angel questions the values of love and freedom, his personal journey is complicated by his fellow inmates' struggles. What once seemed impossible becomes seemingly possible, and Angel must choose a path that will free him from his struggles... or kill him.
