This book is a collection of the wonder of the everyday, in words which capture moments, memories and imaginings of people living on the slopes of Colehill in East Dorset. Some of the writing in this anthology is fiction, much of it is fact. It is personal, honest and real, reflecting the heartfelt sincerity of the contributors. Over a period of eighteen months the process of writing and collecting these stories, articles and poems brought people together in writing groups and workshops. Residents, past and present, and visitors from near and far also contributed their impressions of this small community on a hill, near the south coast of England. Writing together has given us a new appreciation of each other and this place we call home. So now we invite you to dip inside these pages and be inspired, and to join us as we celebrate our 'Life on the Hill'.
