This story takes place in the small town of Deckerville, Washington. The people of town a close knit, supportive and caring community of individuals who tend to know each other's business, good and bad, and in most circumstances get along in spite of it. That is until they are hit with one crisis after another while trying to cope with the havoc of a flood and the mysterious green glow. The bonds between the sheriff, his deputy, the town doctor, and their families and friends; grow as they are assaulted not only by nature but also by a number of the town's own people gone astray. After the tragic deaths of a number of Deckerville's own, the town's people begin to understand the significance The Green Glow is playing on their lives. With this knowledge, they work together to take back their town and survive the catastrophe.
