No one wants to admit that life is a roll of the dice and a game of chance. Every choice you make, every decision that you follow through on takes you deeper into the maze of what lies ahead. There are no guarantees. At each corner there is the potential to take the wrong turn. People we meet along the way are part of the plan. It is up to us to learn how to decipher when to hold on and when to let go. The best-laid plans somehow seems to always go off track. Everybody else's life appears to be perfect compared to yours. What we fail to realize is, nobody knows exactly how their life will turn out. Some get lucky, some get blessed, and others say that a miracle happened. You can call it what you want to. I have tried it from all kinds of angles, and have come to the conclusion that, "there are no rules!" After three failed marriages and no sex for ten years, I realized that I was following the wrong rules. I got married at age sixteen because I wanted a better life than what I had at home. I had everything I wanted by age thirty-two except a husband, so I got married again; even followed the no-sex before marriage rule hoping that would help. Finally at age forty-five I thought surely this time I will get it right. We had been living together for three years and my spiritual mentor told me that God would not bless my mess. Well, all three of those marriages lasted less than a year. Today at age sixty-one I still have no husband, as much as I love being a wife. You tell me what went wrong!
