THE PALADIN explores the modern world of a simple man, Eric Redfern, a rather unmotivated "wanna-be-writer", who has gone nowhere in his twenty-five years of life. He has primarily spent his time in a small town environment, sheltered in many ways from the realities of life, particularly when it comes to the true understanding of good and evil. On just what seemed like an ordinary day in an ordinary diner, he finds himself thrown into a world, where the age-old struggle between the forces of good and evil become all too real, the ancient battle between the white knight and his nemesis, the dark knight. How is it possible that this seemingly long-dead breed of men and women survived the centuries, only to surface now... In just a small town, barely found on a map, will the return and reappearance of the white knights and dark knights shatter the evolved system of mankind? How could just one man be the possible catalyst to a new age? Eric Redfern certainly didn't believe it, though he found himself running as much away from it as towards it, and whether he believed it or not, he was not going to escape his apparent destiny.
