Spirit Lives of the Soft Seen Canal
Caiyros Arlen Strang
This is a book of poems that were written during the time when this author lived, worked, loved, and socialized in New Hope PA, when this town and the the immediate areas was a fantastic world of authors, artists, muscians, social radicals, and creators and users of unusual and artistic business from occult books to a home built recording studio, to unusual & beautiful clothing, and swinging parties. The Delaware Canal ran through part of this town, and was a place to go to meet other walkers, take barge rides, and barge deliveries, and also to find a quiet place there, just to meditate. These poems were strongly influenced by all and everything in this environment. This poet was/is strongly influenced by Kenneth Patchen, Riley Ballard, Paul Verlaine, and Charles Baudelaire.
