James a typical 12-year-old going to school through the week and movies with friends on the weekend. It all changes when a long lost grandfather appears with stories to tell and gifts to give, that captivate James. It was on one late night visit that James noticed the ring. It was not particularly stunning, a simple topaz stone in a gold band. James's grandfather also explained that the ring had magical powers. James with a little bit of pleading had temporary custody of the ring, and now two days later it was gone! James sat down hard on the edge of the bed, where could the ring be? Grandfather had been out of town for a few days, but would be returning in two days! Think, James, think! Where is the ring? Does someone know about its magical powers?
