My brother and I was very young when mom moved us in with her sister Lois to Carver Homes. Now there are six children to share a small apartment with only two bedrooms. Although mom was hardly there my aunt took very good care of us. A year later aunt Lois told mom she had to leave. That's when our lives went in a whole new direction. Her journey was ours and the experiences were not pleasant at all. When the physical abuse started, I'd hoped she had the strength to leave..she didn't. She was not aware that the abuse she endured would soon target the child...me. Women were just too submissive those days. Life would soon teach us all a vital lesson. Live life, for death is sure to come.
